Lee Byung Hun makes first appearance as T-1000 in sneak peak video for “Terminator 5: Genisys”

The first official peek into the upcoming and anticipated fifth film in the Terminator series has been released on December 3rd, giving expecting fans a look at the T-1000 played by Lee Byung Hun.

As the T-1000 in its liquid-to-solid state form, Lee Byung Hun coolly looks up from his stance on the hood of a fast moving police car, the text “He is back” filling the screen against a black background. A look of the Earth from space reveal the Earth at war as hundred of missiles are fired from one area to another before a scene of Arnold Schwarzenegger, as another T-1000, flashes by, his robotic hand flexing.

Lee Byung Hun’s upcoming role in Terminator: Genisys has caused widespread excitement as the role as the T-1000 is not a small one, but a main character. T-1000 is an assassin that is a shapeshifter made of metal and was the main villain in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which was played by Robert Patrick.

Terminator Genisys is directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) and will star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, J.K. Simmons, Douglas Smith, and Lee Byung Hun. The movie is set to hit the theaters in July 2015.
