Yonghwa works with American producer Peter Malick for upcoming solo album

American music recording producer based in Los Angeles Peter Malick is reported to have participated in the production of CNBLUE member Jung Yonghwa‘s solo debut album!

Peter Malick is known to be a blues guitar master, bringing anticipation for Yonghwa’s upcoming solo album. Peter Malick has previously worked with widely-famous artists including Muddy Waters, Big Mama Thornton, John Lee Hooker, and more. One of his biggest projects was his album New York City, which featured Norah Jones.

Through the tracklist revealed on January 14th, it has been confirmed that Peter Malick and Yonghwa co-wrote track 10, named “27 Years.”

Peter Malick revealed his thoughts on his participation in Yonghwa’s album, “I feel honored to be able to work with Jung Yonghwa for his upcoming solo debut. I hope to produce more K-pop songs.

For this album, Yonghwa is also collaborating with four other artists, namely YDG, Verbal JintYoon Do Hyunand JJ Lin.

The two had previously met in a recording studio in Los Angeles, back in May 2014, when Yonghwa visited the city to cheer for Korean baseball player Ryu Hyun Jin in an LA Dodgers game. Yonghwa tweeted a photo with him and Peter Malick also replied to his tweet, showing the close bond they had formed with each other. Since then, they seemed to have kept in contact, even cheering for each other through their SNS platforms.

For his solo debut, Yonghwa has also released the music video teaser for “One Fine Day”, the highlight medley video, and image teasers, all geared up for the day to come. Prior to his actual debut date, Yonghwa has already dominated the Chinese charts with pre-release track “Mileage“, featuring Yang Dong Geun (YDG).

Yonghwa’s solo debut album One Fine Day is set to release on January 20th.
