8 K-Pop Idols Who Almost Didn’t Debut In Their Respective Groups

It’s impossible to imagine these groups without these members.

Many idols have made changes in their careers, such as switching companies when they were trainees.

G-Dragon was originally a trainee at SM Entertainment.

There are some idols almost didn’t debut in their respective group, here are 8 of those idols.

1. J-Hope (BTS)

While J-Hope might be known as BTS‘s mood maker, he originally left Big Hit Entertainment when he was a trainee.

It was only because of other members that he decided to come back. The BTS members even reveal they don’t know what would have happened had J-Hope not come back, as they depend on him so much.

2. Tzuyu & Momo (TWICE)

TWICE was formed through the survival show SIXTEEN. TWICE was originally going to be a 7 member group, but Park Jin Young decided to add 2 more members.

Tzuyu was added to the group due to her immense popularity.

Park Jin Young felt that TWICE needed someone to help with their performances, so Momo was added to the lineup.

3. Felix & Lee Know (Stray Kids)

Stray Kids is another group that had to go through an elimination show before their debut. Park Jin Young eliminated both Lee Know and Felix throughout the show.

Park Jin Young gave the two one more opportunity to prove themselves. After the performance, Park Jin Young felt that Stray Kids had the most passion and energy together, so he added Felix and Lee Know back into the lineup.

4. Seulgi (Red Velvet)

Seulgi was a trainee for around 7 years, so she ran into a lot of hardships during her trainee time. Seulgi even once questioned quitting, as she felt that her singing wasn’t improving at all. Thankfully, Seulgi’s mother helped her get through this slump.

5. Heechul (Super Junior)

Heechul was quite rebellious as a trainee, as he once even got kicked out of SM Entertainment. Heechul once got scolded for the type of music he was listening to.

Heechul then had a rebellious answer towards his trainer.

Heechul took it a step further, as he didn’t even apologize to his trainer for his actions.

These actions ended up getting him kicked out of the company.

6. Kang Daniel (Former member of WANNA ONE)

While WANNA ONE might be disbanded, the center almost didn’t debut in the group. WANNA ONE was formed through Produce 101 Season 2. Kang Daniel once revealed that he almost left Produce 101 Season 2 after some of the initial results.
