8 Things Korean Celebs Do For Fun In Seoul That You Can Do Too

Korean celebrities don’t get much spare time, so when they do, they know exactly what to do for fun in Seoul.

While Korean celebrities don’t have too much free time on their hands, when they do get some time to let loose they certainly know how to have fun! Check out what some of our favorite idols do in their spare time and how you can do experience the fun, too!

 

1. Skateboard around the Han River

Wanna One‘s Kang Daniel and Jaehwan spent a day hanging out along the Han River, a popular spot to relax for locals. The Han River is a major spot for relaxation in Seoul, with locals often going for walks along its banks, picnicking or enjoying the view from nearby cafes.

 

2. Play ten-pin bowling

Actor Kim Soo Hyun and FT Island‘s Lee Hong Ki love bowling so much they both competed for the chance to be called “professional” bowlers in 2016. Kim Soo Hyun often plays at night and early in the morning. Bowling is a fun activity that doesn’t cost much to play, and the competition can get pretty fierce!

 

3. Shop and snack on street food

Hyuna likes to hang out and eat with friends while shopping, and with so many shopping districts in Seoul, including Myeongdong, Insadong and Namdaemun Market, to name a few, idols have many options for places to go, things to buy or eat in their spare time.

 

4. Head to Namsan Tower

BTS‘s RM was seen on a sweet date with him Mom at Seoul’s most touristy spot, Namsan Tower, and many idols go there for the beautiful views of the city, shopping and food – and the love locks!

5. Go to a concert

Suzy posted this selfie of her backstage with Dua Lipa when she recently came to Seoul. Not only do many K-Pop groups start or finish their concerts in Seoul’s Olympic Park stadium, international acts are always stopping in the capital.

 

6. Sightsee in Hongdae

BTS’s Jungkook was spotted on a solo roam around the streets of Hongdae, a district known for its trendy, hip shops and nightlife. He shopped and stopped to grab a drink at a coffee shop.

 

7. Ride a bike

BLACKPINK‘s Rose loves riding her bike around parks and gardens in Seoul, and Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon has also known to ride her bike around the Han River in her spare time. It’s relaxing, and free!

 

8. Hang out at Min’s Cafe

Min’s Cafe in Gangnam, Seoul is one of BTS’s favorite haunts, and it’s run by 2AM‘s Changmin. Chilling with friends, eating traditional Korean food and drinking soju seems to be the celebrity’s favorite pastime – and it’s so easy to do while in Seoul, with drinking spots littered around major areas like Hongdae!
