Here Are 9 K-Pop Idols Who Channeled Their Inner Beyoncé

They’ve all delivered flawless cover performances of her songs!

All the K-Pop idols that we love and admire themselves have idols that they admire in turn, and so many of them have cited Beyoncé as an artist and role model they look up to. Here are 9 K-Pop idols who channeled their inner Queen Bee, and performed wonderful covers of her iconic songs!

1. Hyolyn

Hyolyn has proved time and again that she’s a huge fan of Beyoncé! She’s also been called the “Korean Beyoncé” a number of times due to her powerful vocals and amazing stage presence, and has performed several covers of her songs! In 2011, she performed  a cover of “Best Thing I Never Had” on Kiss The Radio:

She also delivered a soulful performance of “Halo” in 2013:

And a cover of “End Of Time”, also in 2013!

 

2. Ailee

Ailee is another artist who has been referred to as “Korea’s Beyoncé” due to her sheer talent and vocal prowess! She has shown that she has the skills to cover a huge range of songs, and her rendition of Beyoncé’s “Halo” is just as beautiful as the original!

 

3. Chungha

During her time as a participant on Produce 101 in 2016, Chungha was asked to perform an on-the-spot choreography to Beyoncé’s “Partition”. Even though it was a random song picked by the judges of the show, Chungha totally slayed her performance, and even went viral for it!

 

4. BLACKPINK

In 2017, BLACKPINK appeared on Park Jin Young’s Party People, and performed a dance cover of Queen Bey’s “Partititon”. They absolutely crushed the performance, and people still talk about the iconic cover today!

BLACKPINK’s Rosé has also performed a cover of “Irreplaceable” on Fantastic Duo in 2017, and garnered much praise for her rendition of the classic song!

 

5. Apink

Apink is another group that covered Beyoncé’s “Partition”! In 2013, the group appeared on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, and members Park Chorong, Yoon Bomi and Oh Hayoung performed a dance cover of the song, and killed it!

Additionally, during their 2015 PINK PARADISE concert in Singapore, Jung Eunji also performed a cover of Beyoncé’s “Listen”, and gave it her own personal twist with her smooth, soulful and powerful vocals!

 

6. TWICE

TWICE has performed covers of Beyoncé’s songs multiple times! For their first TWICELAND tour in 2017, Momo, Nayeon, Sana and Chaeyoung performed a cover of “Partition”, delighting fans with their amazing dance skills and vocals coming together in an amazing performance!

For KCON 2018, Jihyo, Tzuyu and Momo covered “End of Time”, and ended their beautiful performance with loud cheers from the audience!

For their most recent TWICELIGHTS tour, Tzuyu, Sana and Dahyun have also wowed fans with a cover of “Dance For You”, complete with red outfits and a super sex choreography!

And most recently, Nayeon and Momo uploaded a dance cover of “Fever” via their Instagram, further impressing fans with their ever-improving performances!

7. Red Velvet

Red Velvet‘s Wendy is most famous among fans to have covered “Halo” during her pre-debut days at her high school in Canada.

She has since covered “Halo” once again on her Instagram live broadcast, along with “Listen”!

Hwasa has gifted fans with a beautiful cover of Beyoncé’s “Ave Maria”!

Solar has also performed a cover of “Fever”, showcasing her amazing vocals through the song!

 

9. Jo Kwon

In 2017, Jo Kwon appeared on Mnet‘s Golden Tambourine, and blew everyone away with his explosive rendition of “Crazy In Love”, nailing the cover with a performance in drag!
