Fans Have Little Hope In Comebacks For These 10 K-Pop Girl Groups With The Longest Hiatuses

For most active K-Pop groups, going for a year without a comeback can seem like a long time for fans! Some artists, however, have gone for much longer without releasing new music, and when no announcement of disbandment is made for the group, it leaves fans hanging with slowly fading hope as the days pass with no new releases. Here are the 10 not (officially) disbanded K-Pop girl groups that have been on the longest hiatus since their last full group comeback.

10. DESTINY

DESTINY is a four-member K-Pop group that was created by FATE Entertainment and Shine E&M. They debuted on September 28, 2018 with the song “Like A Bomb”, and though they haven’t officially disbanded like the rest of the groups on this list, they haven’t had a comeback in 942 days. Their last release was “Medusa”, which came out on April 26, 2019.

9. S.I.S

S.I.S, short for “Serendipity In Stars”, is a four-member K-Pop group that originally debuted with 6 members on August 25, 2017 under XX Entertainment with the song “I’ve Got A Feeling”. Though there are rumors that they unofficially disbanded this past March, an announcement hasn’t been made yet. Their last comeback, however, was 993 days ago on March 6, 2019 with the song “Always Be Your Girl”.

8. FLAVOR

FLAVOR is a sub-unit of the group FANATICS, made up of members ChiayiDoah, and Yoonhye. They debuted on November 26, 2018 with the song “Milkshake”, and work under FENT. Their last comeback was their debut, which was 1,093 days ago.

7. ABRY

ABRY (which stands for “All Been ReadY”) currently consists of two members, though the group debuted on November 15, 2017 with the song “The Dream of Ugly Duckling” under withHC with four members originally. They had their last comeback 1,123 days ago on October 27, 2018 with the song “Over & Gone”.

6. WABLE

WABLE is a duo made of two sisters that debuted with the song “I Want To Fall In Love” on February 18, 2016 under MMO Entertainment, though they are now under Music Paradiso. Their last comeback, “Ending Song”, came out 1,229 days ago on July 13, 2018.

5. Highteen

Highteen is a group made up of four members that debuted on October 14, 2016 under Illusion Entertainment with the song “Boom Boom Clap”. Though they are rumored to have silently disbanded in 2019, no official announcement has been made. Their last comeback was on April 18, 2018 with the song “Timing”, which was 1,315 days ago.

4. I.C.E

I.C.E (which is short for “International Center of Issue”) is a three-member girl group that debuted under HS Entertainment on November 16, 2015 with the song “Over U”. Their last comeback, “Shameless”, came out 1,369 days ago on February 23, 2018.

3. PLAYBACK

PLAYBACK is a five member group under Coridel Entertainment that debuted with the song “Playback” on June 25, 2015. Though the group is assumed to be disbanded due to their inactivity, no official announcement has been made. Their last release was “Want You To Say”, which came out 1,487 days ago on October 28, 2017.

2. Girls’ Generation

Everyone likely knows Girls’ Generation already, but they are an eight member girl group (originally nine member) formed by SM Entertainment that debuted on August 5, 2007 with the song “Into the New World”. Their last release as a full group was on August 4, 2017 with the song “Holiday”, which was 1,572 days ago.

And finally, Rubber Soul is a hip-hop duo formed by Mad Soul Child that debuted on February 10, 2015 with the song “Life”. Their last comeback was 1,638 days ago, when they released the song “Love Is” on May 30, 2017.
