Today marks the return of SM Entertainment‘s much-loved Halloween party, SMTOWN Wonderland, after several years. Here are some of the event’s best past costumes.
1. Irene (Red Velvet)
At SMTOWN Wonderland 2017, Red Velvet’s Irene blew everyone away with her stunning cosplay of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
2. Ten (NCT)
NCT’s Ten dressed as Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa painting at SMTOWN Wonderland 2018—complete with a frame in tow.
3. Chanyeol (EXO)
EXO’s Chanyeol reportedly spent upwards of $11,000 USD on his Iron Man costume for SMTOWN Wonderland 2017, but it was worth every penny.
4. Jonghyun (SHINee)
During SMTOWN Wonderland 2013, SHINee’s Jonghyun stunned anime fans everywhere with this Naruto cosplay.
5. Key (SHINee)
SHINee’s Key is definitely one of the company’s costume kings, from his Edward Scissorhands look to his Lord Voldemort cut-out, so it’s hard to choose just one outfit. That said, his Ronald McDonald costume did become a worldwide meme, so that may be his best to date.
6. Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation)
When Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung dressed as Sadness from Inside Out at SMTOWN Wonderland 2015, she truly proved herself the queen of costumes.
7. Taeyeon (Girls’ Generation)
It’s hard to believe Girls’ Generation’s sweet leader Taeyeon could ever be creepy… until you see her Annabelle costume from SMTOWN Wonderland 2018.
The only thing that makes devout Catholic BoA’s nun costume from SMTOWN Wonderland 2015 even more iconic is that she actually once met the Pope.
9. Luna (f(x))
The winner of SMTOWN Wonderland 2015‘s costume contest was f(x)’s Luna with her Mad Max War Boy costume, and she definitely deserved the prize—as did her adorable doggy companion.
10. Leeteuk (Super Junior)
Super Junior fans were equal parts surprised and impressed with Leeteuk’s SNL maid alter ego costume for SMTOWN Wonderland 2018.
And here’s what everyone wore for this year’s party:
