5 Korean Tourists injured during London attack

It has been confirmed that a group of South Korean tourists were among those injured during the horrific attack in London.

The attack in Westminster, London on March 22 left 40 people injured and so far has resulted in 4 deaths. It has been confirmed that of those injured, 5 were South Korean tourists.

The Foreign Ministry in Seoul stated that the 4 women and 1 man had been injured in a stampede as people fled the scene after the attack. Most of the group, who were all aged between 50 and 60 years old, have been reported to have sustained broken bones. However, one woman hit her head and has undergone an operation for her injury.

The Foreign Ministry has made an official statement showing their support for London and condemning this tragic incident.

“The Government of the Republic of Korea strongly condemns the brutal attack on civilians near the Parliament in London, the United Kingdom, on March 22.

The Government of the Republic of Korea prays for the souls of the innocent victims and extends its deepest condolences and sympathy to their bereaved families and the people of the UK.

The Government of the Republic of Korea, taking note of UK Prime Minister May’s remarks that ‘We will all move forward together, never giving in to terror,’ will take an active part in the efforts of the international community to eliminate terrorism.”

Investigations are still underway, but the police have identified the man they believe is responsible and have made 8 arrests in connection with the attack. The so-called Islamic State group claim the man was a “soldier of the Islamic State”.

In the midst of all of this, #prayforlondon has begun trending on social media, showing support and condolences for those affected by the attack. BIG BANG‘s G-Dragon, who shot his “Crooked” MV in London, showed his support through a post made on his Instagram.
