This is a photo that was sent in today. It might be they’re lookalikes, but it is allegedly a photo of two top idols. The female idol, in particular, has been rumored to have broken up with an OG idol member. So fans seem to be more receptive to this photo as true. We won’t name any names as we are not able to fact-check the photo.

Now, many netizens are claiming that the alleged photo of V and Jennie is Photoshopped.

ARMYs are pointing out the similarity between the photo and a screenshot from an episode of BTS’s reality series BTS In the SOOP, in which V drove himself and fellow member J-Hope. The composition certainly resembles each other, making it possible for the base of an edit.

And while clearly, the woman in question is wearing GENTLE MONSTER sunglasses, as Jennie does, she does not have Jennie’s current hair color.

So, netizens are suspicious that it is indeed an edited photo. Still, there are many factors that need to be taken into account.

Some are not buying the theory that it’s edited. They believe that the photo looks too authentic, and there are too many differences between the photo of V and Jennie and the one of him and J-Hope.

The background and V’s shirt are notably different, as even his hair.

Others proposed that if authentic, the photo could be of celebrity lookalikes.

While Newsen claimed that there was no response from the agencies of the respective artists for the first two or more hours, YG Entertainment has now. Read their short statement on the situation below:
