In a live broadcast following the end of the award show, BTS thanked their fans for their endless support. Jimin commented that it was “too bad” they did not win but the group was thankful to have even attended the show in the first place.

Thanks to ARMYs, we’ve been able to try this again. It’s too bad we didn’t win, but simply having been here has been meaningful nonetheless.

V and Jungkook agreed with his sentiments, saying that it was a good experience to be able to watch so many gifted artists perform right in front of them.

Jungkook: This is all great experience for us.

V: Yeah. Honestly, we got to watch so many amazing performances. So this has been extremely motivating for us.

Suga lifted the mood by encouraging the group to look at the bright side: “I don’t think we need to feel sad about this at all, guys. What we’ve done is already amazing.”

He did, however, admit that he felt “kind of sad” after V and Jin declared that they did not feel down at all.

V: I’m not sad at all.

Jin: WHO! WHO IS SAD?

Suga: Me. I think I was kind of sad.

RM similarly opened up about not being satisfied with the results. He comforted fans by saying that he and the rest of the members will “feel better” the next day.

I mean, what is there to say? I’m not too happy about it and that’s the truth. I think it’s good to be honest. I’ll be sad today, but I’m going to be okay tomorrow. Tonight, we’re going to have our feelings. And then, by tomorrow, we’ll feel better and we’ll be right back at it.

At the end of the day, BTS was firm that they do not regret their GRAMMYs journey.

Seriously, though. We don’t have any regrets. We tried our best and gave [the GRAMMYs] everything. We had a good time. Sure, we feel bummed about some things…but what really matters is that we put this amazing performance on camera.
