Could they be working on a song together?

BTS‘s newest friend seems to be Latina American singer, dancer, and actress Jennifer Lopez.

Earlier this year, BTS went on an unfollowing spree on Twitter. Now, they are following some new accounts. From the members’ shared account, they followed Jennifer Lopez (also known as J.Lo) on Twitter.

Lopez did more than return the follow as she actually followed both of BTS’s accounts. Lopez and the group are now mutuals on Twitter. She also follows the group on Instagram.

As a result, fans are suspicious that a collaboration is in the works. Many wonder if this means that BTS is finally working on a Spanish release.

BTS has been topping charts with their English releases “Dynamite, “Butter,” and “Permission to Dance.” Presently, BTS seem like they might be interested in releasing more songs in other languages. Leader RM recently told Entertainment Weekly, “We’re open to anything… Maybe when it’s time, I think we’ll be able to release another song in English or Korean or Spanish — or any language.”

During BTS’s concert 2021 Muster Sowoozoo for their 8th-anniversary event FESTA, the group performed an OT7 version of J-Hope and Becky G‘s remix of “Chicken Noodle Soup.” Fans commended members for singing verses in Spanish. Perhaps this was just a preview of more to come.

Hispanic ARMYs have also been excited about their latest release, “Permission to Dance,” due to the music video’s aesthetic. Additionally, a mural in the music video was even made by a Mexican artist Abel Macías. Maybe this has been hints all along to their next release.

We’re hoping that ARMYs’ theories are correct and BTS will release a song in Spanish. Since the release of their Latin-pop-inspired track “Airplane Pt. 2,” we have been hoping for more!
