It was super iconic!

It seems as if there is nothing that BTS‘s Jin can’t do. From singing, dancing, and being “Worldwide Handsome,” he is definitely the perfect idol, and ARMYs also love Jin’s charismatic personality.

Yet, during the group’s recent 2021 MUSTER Sowoozoo, fans saw another side to Jin as he rapped along to Suga (known as Agust D) “Daechwita” and J-Hope‘s “Chicken Noodle Soup” with the rest of the group.

It can’t have been easy to perform such iconic raps for someone who is one of the group’s main vocalists. In a recent interview with Weverse Magazine, Jin touched upon how it felt to master the lyrics when the group didn’t have much time to practice after the setlist was decided.

It was so hard. I had to do ‘Daechwita’ and ‘Chicken Noodle Soup,’ but it was only about a month before the concert when the setlist was decided.

However, despite the challenge, Jin put his heart and soul into practicing the two songs, and it seemed as if it became a part of his daily routine.

During that time, I’d come home after finishing work, turn on the music for ‘Daechwita’ and practice it for 15 minutes, then do ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ after that, and then go straight to sleep. The next day I’d wake up, go to work, come home and do another 15 minutes of ‘Daechwita’ and more ‘Chicken Noodle Soup.’ I kept repeating that for a really long time.

According to Jin, it took so much practice because he finds it challenging to memorize lyrics. He also explained that, despite the enormous amount of practice, he actually enjoyed preparing for it. Yet, considering he even had a cameo in “Daechwita,” is it any surprise that he had so much fun.

My skills are lacking when it comes to memorizing lyrics, but I think I have other abilities that cover up for what I lack. In fact, I enjoy constantly memorizing things like that. My gift is my ability to enjoy practicing repeatedly, so if I somehow succeed before the deadline, I give myself praise.

Yet, as shown in the performance, not only did he kill it, but he exuded the energy and charms ARMYs love. Hopefully, ARMYs get to see more rap performances from Jin and the rest of the vocal line in the future!
