Resellers Are Listing BTS’s Sold Out “Artist-Made” Merch For Insane Prices

Fans are calling for HYBE to take action.

“Did you see my bag? Did you see my bag? It’s on eBay, and it’s overpriced…”

BTS‘s new “Artist-Made Collection” is selling out faster than fans can add it to their carts, but not everyone buying this merch is an ARMY.

For this collection, each BTS member personally designed his own merchandise with his personal taste and ARMY in mind. V, for instance, chose to make his sold-out MUTE Boston bag medium rather large, knowing a large bag would be cumbersome for fans to carry.

The official pre-order release for V’s merch took place on January 11 at 11 AM KST. Within seconds, V’s MUTE bag and brooch set sold out. Now, those sold-out items are being listed for exorbitant prices on resale sites likes eBay, despite the fact that Weverse has not yet shipped the items.

As many fans have pointed out, eBay does not allow sellers to list items that are not in their possession. Even so, resellers are offering BTS’s “Artist-Made Collection” items for more than double their original price.

Having items in an inventory or having an existing agreement with a third party to fulfill the delivery of the item under the terms of the listing.

ARMYs are now expressing their frustration, reporting eBay listings, and reaching out to HYBE in the hopes that more will be done to prevent “merch scalpers” from purchasing items meant for fans.
