BTS’s Suga Felt The Emptiness On Stage As He Sat Out Of Promotions Due To Shoulder Surgery

We miss you Suga!

Recently, BTS Suga’s Weverse magazine interview was released online.

With his recent shoulder surgery, he was unable to perform with the other members for all the end-of-the-year activities. When asked about his shoulder, he commented, “Good. Apparently it takes several months for a full recovery, but I’m trying to get better as fast as possible.”

Fans have known for a long time that his shoulder pain was something that had been going on for a long time. “When I heard that this might recur when getting surgery at a young age, I waited for the right time and decided to get it done early next year regardless of COVID-19. I had planned to get surgery after the year-end stages, but it got done this year (2020).”

Although he didn’t feel all too great about sitting out of promotions, he couldn’t help but notice the emptiness on stage. “Not necessarily because I’m not there but because something that should be there is missing.”

Suga also admitted that he felt so frustrated right after surgery because his absence on stage was so apparent. “I felt so frustrated that I tried out new things. I even watched movies I didn’t’ watch.”

After watching many shows and singing programs, he realized that there are so many talented people who just hadn’t been given the opportunity. “I started playing the guitar lately and I’m having this urge to broaden my scope of music. And since my interest in the music industry in the U.S. grew, I’m getting prepared, studying English and all.”

Hopefully Suga recovers soon and returns to promotions in a more healthy and strong way!
