In light of BTS making their first No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Korean president Moon Jae In and even former prime minister Lee Nak Yeon posted congratulatory messages to the group.
BTS, who has had the honor to meet with the President before, saw his post and left a heartfelt response.
President Moon, thank you again giving us warm congratulations again. Although we are going through hard times, we hope that our song can give a little bit of hope and positive energy. We believe that our country as well as all the other countries in the world will be able to shine bright again soon. We will continue to focus on music which is what we do best.
Their No.1 on this chart is special because they have made history once again becoming the first South Korean artist to top this chart. “Dynamite” is also BTS’s first all-English track that they have released since their debut.
President Moon is known for showing his support for BTS as he has left messages for them for their No.1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart. The group also met with President Moon and the First Lady back in 2018 after the Korea-France Friendship Concert in Paris.
Congrats once again to BTS for their No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart!
