CJ E&M Responds To Reported Claims On X1 Not Being Paid Yet

CJ E&M responds to the claims reported about X1’s pay.

Project group X1, who debuted through the Mnet audition program Produce X 101, reported that the group hadn’t received payment yet. CJ E&M refuted the claim by saying that it was not the time for the pay settlement yet.

On November 11, a news outlet reported that the group and their agencies had received no pay since the Seoul debut showcase and debut album release this past August. CJ E&M added that they would proceed with the payment settlement according to schedule.

They continued by saying, “The payments done quarterly, and since it has only been about three months since their debut, it is not time for their payments to be received.”

According to SBS, during the investigations, PD Ahn Joon Young admitted to the charges of manipulating the final rankings for this year’s Produce X 101, as well as last year’s Produce 48.

The police will hold a press conference to debrief the Produce 101 series investigations on November 12.
