GFRIEND Reveals Their 6 Years Of Intense Choreography And Promotions Have Deteriorated Their Bodies
GFRIEND appeared on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook to promote their latest album, “LABRYINTH” and title track “Crossroads”. During the interview, they opened up about how it’s already been 6 years since their debut and what’s changed.
The girls were asked if they ever have moments when they realize that it’s been 6 years since their debut. SinB confessed that she can tell the time passing by her deteriorating body.
Because GFRIEND is famous for their intricate and intense performances, the past 6 years have taken a physical toll on the members’ bodies.
We’re a group that is known for our performances. We’ve danced for 6 years, so my whole body has started hurting everywhere.
You can say that’s when I feel [our 6 years in the industry] down to my bones.
GFRIEND had even risen to fame when they became the girl group who slipped and fell 11 times but got up 12 times during a performance.
They’ve always had choreographies that were more difficult than the average girl group.
Not only are they worried about their physical health, Sowon confessed that they’ve been thinking a lot about how they can continue promoting while keeping their mental health in check as well.
I’ve recently realized that – not just among our members – but many people everywhere are hurting emotionally.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how we can become stronger and how we can continue on promoting while being mentally healthy.
GFRIEND debuted back in January 2015, and they haven’t taken a year of rest for their promotions ever since. As the girls begin to feel their health slowing down from their demanding careers, they’ll hopefully get enough rest and treatments for their health.
