Lee Hyori has gained even more popularity over the past few years for her variety show, Hyori’s Homestay (or Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast). The show has Hyori and her husband, Lee Sang Soon, use their home in Jeju Island as a B&B for tourists visiting the island.
The show also featured a “guest worker” each season who helped out the couple in running the B&B. Season one featured IU and season two featured Yoona. The show gained traction because it displayed Hyori and Sang Soon’s perfect marriage and the growth of their friendship with their guest stars.
JTBC approached Hyori for a potential third season of Hyori’s Homestay but the project has now morphed into a completely different type of variety show.
This new format will showcase more of Lee Hyori’s personality and her life as a celebrity and singer. Fans will be sad to see Hyori’s Homestay be put on hold but eager to see what JTBC has in store.
The crew are ready to begin production but a premiere date has yet to be announced.
