While a few days have passed, some clips are still going viral online. There’s one in particular that has netizens talking.

From the moment the trailer was released, netizens couldn’t get over the concept that was based on BDSM, which stands for “bondage and discipline,” “dominance and submission,” and “sadism and masochism.” It was especially considering how conservative Korean society tends to be regarding sexuality.

BDSM is a variety of often erotic practices or roleplaying involving bondage, discipline, dominance and submission, sadomasochism, and other related interpersonal dynamics. Given the wide range of practices, some of which may be engaged in by people who do not consider themselves to be practising BDSM, inclusion in the BDSM community or subculture often is said to depend on self-identification and shared experience.

The film was marketed as a romantic comedy. It begins with Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun and U-KISS‘s Jun (also known as Lee Jun Young) as co-workers Ji Woo and Ji Hoo, respectively. Due to their similar names, they get a delivered package mixed up, only for Ji Woo to find out Ji Hoo’s secret.

When a very personal delivery mistakenly falls into the wrong hands at work, a no-nonsense subordinate and her new superior find their roles reversed after hours when they take their play into the bedroom.

While some were initially concerned about a comedic portrayal of such a serious subject matter, viewers were pleasantly surprised. The film actually emphasizes the importance of consent as well as boundaries.

Still, there are plenty of comedic moments throughout the film, too, that certainly don’t downplay its theme and message. Still, it’s these funny moments that are going viral, especially this one scene…

After signing a contract, the leads go to a hotel room, although not for what most viewers would initially assume.

After putting on a collar and leash, Ji Hoo gets “in character” as a dog. So, Ji Woo feeds him like one, and he sensually eats out of her hand.

Things take a turn for the worst when they then overhear some rather loud noises from a couple getting intimate in a different room. So, he reacted as an actual dog would: he barked back.

This part is what shocked viewers the most. Ji Hoo got so into the character that Ji Woo ends up having to restrain him… Although that’s low-key what he wanted all along.

As a result, this comedic scene has gone viral online. The day of the film’s premiere, it was all over our social media feeds.

Netizens had mixed reactions to it.

Some felt it was genuinely hilarious and comedic…

…while others felt it was “too cringe.”

Nevertheless, this clip of Jun barking like a dog went viral, especially among K-Pop fans, and not because he and Seohyun are K-Pop idols. It garnered attention from fans of BTS and TXT.

ARMYs referenced an old video of V and Jimin. Like the film, the two are in a hotel, and Jimin holds onto a leash to a collar V is wearing.

TXT was brought up the most due to the group’s song “Cat & Dog” from their debut EP, The Dream Chapter: Star.

The song’s lyrics contain iconic lines like, “Let’s play forever. I just wanna be your dog.” MOAs (fans of TXT) even bark as fan chanting.

Only naturally we would think of this iconic song during such a scene. Some MOAs even expressed disappointment that the film didn’t include it, calling it a “wasted … chance.”

The least someone could do is create a fan edit. Right?

Thankfully, one MOA did exactly that! They layered the song over the scene of Jun barking.
