50 year old radio host refers to 17-year-old gold medal winner Chloe Kim “a hot piece of ass,” gets criticized, is suspended from one of his shows, and apologizes.
Patrick Connor co-hosts a brand-new Sirius XM radio talk show “Dialed-in with Dallas Braden.” In their second episode, which aired February 13, the topic turned to 17-year-old Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, who had just won a gold medal.
The tone of the conversation quickly got creepy, with Connor, egged on by his cohosts Dallas Braden and Brody Stevens, calling Kim “a hot little piece of ass.”
Laura Wagner, of the sports media website Deadspin was one of the first to criticize Connor’s comments. Deadspin’s transcription is reproduced below; see their site for the original audio:
Stevens: Me, personally, I’m on Twitter, I see Chloe Kim, I’m thinking Khloe Kardashian, Kim [Kardashian], I don’t want to deal with that. So I missed out on the whole Chloe Kim thing. But it’s a good story. She’s into it, a little kid—I’m inspired by it.
Braden: Chloe Kim, famous for riding a very different board than Kim Kardashian.
Connor: No doubt, and in fact just to keep it on that tip, her 18th birthday is April 23, and the countdown is on baby, ’cause I got my Wooderson going. “That’s what I like about them high school girls.”
Stevens: I love it P-Con, I’m right there with you.
Connor: She’s fine as hell! If she was 18, you wouldn’t be ashamed to say that she’s a little hot piece of ass. And she is. She is adorable. I’m a huge Chloe Kim fan.
Braden [laughing]: That’s it.
Stevens [laughing]: Did you just take a boner pill?
When alerted to Wagner’s critique on twitter, Connor’s initial reaction was sarcastic and dismissive:

His response was not received well.

It's people like you who are turning this country into something awful. She's 17 and you're a pervert. What makes it worse is you didnt even attempt to apologize. I pray you find peace and repent from your sins.

Less than 24 hours later, Connor was suspended from his other show at Bay Area radio station KNBR.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, his tone shifted dramatically.
Yesterday in a weird attempt to make people laugh I failed. My comments about @chloekimsnow were more than inappropriate they were lame & gross. Im truly sorry Chloe. You’ve repped our country so brilliantly. I apologize to my colleagues & the listeners for being a total idiot.

His apology was also not received well.
Calling a Minor or an adult a "hot little piece of a**" and to infer that you can't wait until her 18th birthday is never a good joke no matter what planet you're from! How would you like some dolt saying that on a public forum about your daughter, sister or mother? Karma.

Its interesting that your twitter bio states "father husband." Which would mean you're married guy. How does your wife feel about the way you look at teenage girls, and how you talk about them publicly? She's probably going to have a pretty extravagant Valentine's day huh?

On the original Sirius XM show the next day (audio available via Awful Announcing), co-host Braden apologized to Kim and his listeners, saying, “This was an egregious professional error.”
Connor followed up with similar language, apologizing for his “stupid and insensitive” comment, admitting that he “doesn’t deserve forgiveness,” and hoping that listeners can “give him a second chance” to get it right.
