Due to this, this week’s broadcast (December 11) will be the last episode of Music Bank for this year.

No official reasons have been stated for the cancellations of December 25 and January 1, but many assume it could be because of the SBS Gayo Daejun and MBC Gayo Daejejeon.

Previously, SBS‘s Inkigayo announced that they would be taking a three week hiatus for broadcasts after their December 13 episode.

Due to the sudden confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the K-Pop music industry, many artists have been put under quarantine, causing a change in broadcast schedules.
