Red Velvet‘s Yeri held an interview with “HIGHCUT Magazine” in a new photospread where she opened up about how she maintains happiness and her mental health.
She first revealed that she tries to keep herself bright when it comes to work because it’s her responsibility.
I can’t always be happy and bright, but when it comes to my work, I try to take responsibility in it and do my very best.
I think I’m the type of person who doesn’t feel down just by telling myself, ‘Let’s be bright and work through it hard!’
But even Yeri faces difficult times, and that’s when her fans pick her right back up with all of their love and support!
When I’m facing a difficult time, my fans become my biggest source of strength. I gain a lot of strength from the supportive messages they send through letters and social media.
I feel their sincerity from the messages, so I often go read them myself.
As for taking care of her mental health, she revealed that it’s key to know who you are and love yourself for being just that.
I’ve come to know myself better. I tend to think and debate about it in depth.
I still don’t like the foods that I didn’t like before, I still like the ones that I liked, and my personality is the same. I like it that way.
I try not to do more than I am, and I just want to be who I am.
She believes that happiness can be obtained if you just open you eyes and realize that there are sources right beside you.
I always believe that real happiness, no matter the size, is always right in front of you.
I try to find happiness in the simplest of things in my every day life.
Lastly, she concluded with her new years resolutions to take better care of others as well as herself!
I want to take better care of those around me next year, and I also want to take better care of myself.
I also want to share more music with my own stories.
