Survey of fellow idols names EXO “best idol group of 2014”

Despite the roller coaster ride of events idol group EXO experienced this year, they were titled the “best idol group of 2014” in a survey held amongst their fellow idols.

To commemorate their 10th anniversary, entertainment media, Joy News 24, carried out a survey with 79 idols. From October 16th until October 26th, the survey was conducted with participation from 79 idols that are currently working in the field. The survey included questions like best idol group of 2014, best idol-turned-actors, and entertainment companies that the idols would like to go to. A variety of idols from groups like BEAST, VIXX, 4minute, BTOB, BTS, Secret, BESTie, and many more took part in the survey.

EXO won first place for “the best idol group of 2014”, earning the highest score with 23 votes. Idol girl group SISTAR followed in 2nd place with 15 votes, and BEAST in 3rd with 8 votes. Other groups like Block B made the rankings with 6 votes, VIXX with 5 votes, MBLAQ and Girls’ Generation tying for 6th place with 3 votes.

Another question that was asked of the idols taking the survey was who they thought was the best idol-turned-actor or actress. ZE:A‘s Im Siwan topped the list with 27 votes, making him the best idol turned actor with votes from other idols. MBLAQ’s Lee Joon followed in 2nd place with 15 votes, EXO’s D.O in 3rd with 5 votes, Apink‘s Eunji and F(x)‘s Krystal tying for 4th place with 3 votes each, B1A4‘s Baro and Tiny-G‘s Dohee in 5th place with 2 votes.

The last question they were asked was the entertainment company that they would want to go to. 29 idols answered they would stay in their current company. SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment earned the second most amount of votes, giving them 2nd place. Mystic 89 ranked 3rd, while Cube Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and Starship Entertainment was at 5th place. With 3 votes in 6th place, some idols said they would go to another company.
