WINNER’s Mino Shares True Feelings On Competing Against BLACKPINK Jennie’s “SOLO”

This is how he truly feels.

WINNER‘s Song Mino just released his first full-length solo album, “XX”. His album was released just a few weeks after his label-mate BLACKPINK Jennie made her solo debut with “SOLO”.

During an interview for his new album, Song Mino shared his true feeling about releasing an album so closely after his label-mate.

He’s simply happy that Jennie’s solo debut was a success but he honestly can’t help but wonder how well his songs will do on the charts as well.

“I didn’t set any expectations. I’m just happy Jennie got 1st place, but of course, it has crossed my mind.

It’s not that I’m worried about Jennie. I wonder how my song would rank on the charts.”

Although the though dances around in his mind, Mino is trying to focus on other aspects of his comeback than just the chart rankings. He’s simply happy that Jennie and he are able to promote the songs that they works so hard on!

“I’m trying hard not to be concerned with the ranks. It’ll be a good thing to be able to compete against Jennie.”

Mino asks fans to listen to his full album as he is more than thankful for even the opportunity to release his first full solo album.

“I hope a lot of people listen to all 12 songs on my album. I’m just so thankful that I was able to release a lot of songs.”
