On November 27 (KST), the hearing for former YG Entertainment CEO and founder Yang Hyun Suk was finally held.

In October, the prosecution requested a fine of ₩10 million KRW (about $9,055 USD). However, today the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Yang Hyun Suk a fine of ₩15 million won (about $13,583 USD). It was expressed that the judge confirmed the sentence based on the grounds of: “The defendants are reflecting on their actions and they do not have previous gambling convictions”.

Some netizens are upset at the sentence as they believe he is wealthy enough to pay the fine without any problem and move on without enough reflection.

Yang Hyun Suk is still being investigated for alleged interference in a drug investigation.
