K-Pop MCs are part of what makes watching K-Pop music shows so exciting. Fans are able to see their faves interact with other K-Pop idols and actors of both genders, something that wouldn’t normally happen. MCs also do fun skits with each other that are aired on the music show as well.

One of the most legendary sets of MCs is the trio of GOT7‘s Jinyoung,Β BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo, and NCT‘s Doyoung also known as JinJiDo. The three were the MCs for InkigayoΒ from February 2017 to February 2018, one of the longest-standing and popular MC groups.

Fans praised the three’s visuals and loved how close the three seemed. The fact that each MC was from one of the “Big 3” K-Pop agencies (SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment) only made them more iconic!

BLACKPINK recently made their comeback with “Pink Venom” and made an appearance on Inkigayo before heading to the US for the 2022 VMAs (also known as the 2022 Video Music Awards). Fans were excited to see their performances, and it seemed like the group enjoyed their time performing as well, including their first-ever group ending fairy moment!

During a short Weverse live, Jisoo spoke about their experience on Inkigayo and how the staff still treated her very kindly after all these years.

The PD that was there when I did [hosted] Inkigayo is now the CP and he came down to congratulate me. He gave me champagne and rice cake…the editing unnie has also been there since I was an MC and came down to greet me too…and so I felt really reassured.

The part of her live that stood out the most, however, is a short portion where she attributes the former PD and editing unnie’s behavior to the fact that JinJiDo is still making a lasting impression, saying “…JinJiDo is still on-going.”

Fans are too excited by Jisoo mentioning the MC trio and cannot believe that it’s happening more than six years after their final Inkigayo episode.

It seems like even now in 2022 a JinJiDo reunion would be well received. Hopefully one day soon these three will have a break from their busy schedules to give fans the throwback they are begging for (or at least a selfie)!
