GOT7‘s newest comeback has led both the members and Ahgases on a fun trip down memory lane, as GOT7 performed many of their greatest hits during their 2022 FANCON HOMECOMING with I GOT 7.
Except, as it turns out, they couldn’t really remember some of the choreographies, so they had to turn to their old dance practice videos on YouTube.
And looking back on those videos was an experience for the members. According to journalist Taylor Glasby from GQ Australia, who spent a week with GOT7 as they prepared for their 2022 comeback, the practice room was filled with shrieking laughter as the members watched their dance practices, hilariously making fun of their own outfits and facial expressions.
In that moment, you thought you were the shit, but after six years you’re like, ’What the hell was wrong with me!’
— Jackson Wang
But the members ultimately have no regrets. While they may cringe a little at seeing themselves in those videos, they feel that it’s actually encouraging to see how far they’ve come as artists.
We look back at them and we’re like, ‘Wow, we’ve come a long way.’
— Mark Tuan
And they’re totally right! GOT7 have always had special talent, but this new comeback has shown just how much the members have grown both as individual artists and as a team.
However, there’s no denying that all those old dance practice videos will always have a special place in Ahgases’ hearts!
