It’s been getting harder since debut.

TWICE is undoubtedly one of the biggest K-Pop acts in the industry. With their great fame, however, comes great hardships, as they recently revealed in an interview with PopCrush.

When asked about the effects of leading the Korean wave, they revealed that it is not all rainbows and sunshine.

We feel pressure from every angle to meet expectations.

Things have definitely changed since TWICE debuted in 2015.

There is a different pressure between when we first started and now. Now, we feel more pressure to meet and exceed expectations.

– Mina

TWICE has previously revealed that they experience anxiety from trying to reach their many fan’s expectations. As they are constantly on the receiving end of their love, they want to always do their best for ONCEs.

TWICE fortunately has a strong support system to help them deal with the pressure.

We can confidently say that leaning on ONCE is our key to overcoming tough times. Between our family’s support and ONCE’s support, we are able to get through struggles. ONCE understands our hardships, and sends love in letters, online, which really help us move forward.

– Nayeon

Jeongyeon shared that the fellow members are also a source of strength to help overcome their troubles. They lean on each other constantly. After all, “We are a family.”
